Meet Christina

My name is Christina — I’m a wife, proud mom of two amazing grown children, and a Gigi to my sweet granddaughters, Olivia and Harper, who hold such a special place in my heart.

My creative journey began with a simple Facebook page and a few LIVE videos shared from home. I never imagined those small beginnings would lead me into the world of laser-cut wood kits, where I discovered both purpose and peace through creating.

After retiring from nursing, I found myself drawn to crafting in a way I never expected. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into the business The Rust-Covered Cottage is today — a place centered around creativity, community, and meaningful handmade pieces for the home.

Everything changed when I purchased my first laser machine. The response from this community was overwhelming, and within just a few months, I upgraded to a much larger laser to keep up with growing demand. Today, I spend my days designing collections, cutting orders, packing kits, teaching techniques, and encouraging a growing community of makers and creatives.

At The Rust-Covered Cottage, my heart is to inspire others to create something beautiful with their own hands — whether it’s a handmade piece for their home, a meaningful gift, or simply a quiet moment of creativity in a busy world.

Faith, family, and creativity are at the center of everything I do, and I’m deeply grateful for every order, every kind message, every shared project, and every person who has supported this journey along the way.
